Attorney Julie M. Porzio 

Julie M. Porzio is a Waterbury native and has been practicing law in the downtown area and all throughout Connecticut since 1990. She has a general practice law firm that specializes in

family law litigation, personal injury litigation and real estate. 

Attorney Porzio graduated from Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, Connecticut and  then went on to receive her BA degree from Boston College in 1985, and her juris/doctor degree from Pace University School of Law in 1989. Upon graduating, she became employed as an Associate with Carmody & Torrance in Waterbury, Connecticut before joining the firm of Moynahan & Minnella in 1991 where she continued her litigation practice. In 2001 Julie went on to establish the firm Porzio Law Offices, LLC. in her hometown of  Waterbury, Connecticut where she practices today.

 

 Attorney Julie Porzio is admitted to practice in Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Waterbury Bar Association, and the Litchfield Bar Association. She currently serves as a Special Masters in Superior Court and is a Certified Mediator.

Julie works closely with Safe Haven, a shelter for battered and abused women, and speaks on their behalf. Attorney Julie M. Porzio was a presenter for the Delaware Superior Court Judges and Lawyers on the issue of Domestic Violence and its connection to Court proceedings.  She served on the Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish counsel for several years and now serves on the Holy Cross Board of Directors as well as on the City of Waterbury Retirement Board.

Julie Porzio received “The Portrait of Courage Award” from the Waterbury Republican Town Committee,  The Achievement Award for “Exemplary Courage in the Face of Adversity” from the Connecticut Italian Bar Association, and the “Diversity Recognition for Women Owned Small Businesses” award from the Department of Administrative Services.
